Housing Advice & Homelessness Prevention

There are lots of ways we can help people avoid homelessness and support people in housing crisis, including:

  • Advise and support people facing homelessness
  • Support and represent people facing possession proceedings or eviction
  • Liaise and negotiate with landlords, housing associations and mortgage advisers
  • Offer support with money management, debt, benefits and income maximisation
  • Help prevent a situation getting out of control and reaching crisis point

If you are worried about losing your home, or worried about making ends meet, please call our FREE Adviceline on 0808 278 7810 to speak to an Adviser for confidential and impartial advice.

Our advice services are primarily conducted remotely by telephone or video link although clients can contact us initially by e-mail. If a face-to-face appointment is required, this can be arranged at one of our local offices, all of which are fully accessible. For anyone for whom English is not their first language, we can arrange telephone interpretation.

If you do not live or work within the North & West Kent geographical area – that is to say outside the districts of Dartford, Gravesham, Sevenoaks, Swanley, Tonbridge & Malling and Tunbridge Wells – we can only provide you with initial information and advice before signposting you to your local Citizens Advice office.
